Nursery Sneak Peek

Just a little teaser for now, since it isn't done! Renee came over on Saturday to start on the tree mural, and I'm absolutely loving how it's coming together. Hasn't she done a great job?! I can't wait to see what it looks like once all the leaves are added on! At first, I was a little nervous about going with the darker wall color, but I'm loving how it looks with the white, and with all the white in the room, I don't think it will be too dark at all. I can't wait to see everything all together.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do for a rug for this room...I was thinking some sort of fluffy white rug, with a texture like this:

What do you guys think? Do you know the perfect rug that would work in the room?

Other than that, we're still working on layout a little bit. I'm sort of leaning towards putting a dresser/changer in the closet, since there's so little room in the actual room itself. I think that would probably work okay...we wouldn't have to worry about shooting pee all over the clothes like we would if it were a boy!

  6. It looks great! I love the colors that you're using! No advice on a rug. White is pretty much banned from our house with three dogs and my husband that works outside all day.

  7. LOVE it! I smiled when I saw it, because the tree mural is something I have wanted to do when we have a nursery in the next year or two. I also was going to put a little red "etched" heart on the tree with the initials of the first baby. I loved the story of the giving tree when I was little, so every time we have a new baby in that nursery we are going to add another heart "etched" with their initials. So I'm so excited to see this mural in your nursery, its beautiful and I can't wait to see the final result!

  13. I love how the white furniture look against the turquoise wall! I was thinking about a tree wall mural too or either a white canopy above her bed.. still haven't decided.

I just bought a white fluffy rug from Ikea a few days ago. I love it! I just need to paint and shorten the curtains and I'll post some pictures of my progress in the nursery :)

I’m drooling over the Monkeys Wall Decal Sticker from Etsy seller ArtConductor.etsy.com
so much, that I’m going to have to take a bite…especially if it’s only going to cost me $34.
