I prefer her historical, political, religious themed books.Brittany Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04316417410513395767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1170116880352300881.post-90368402191410532522009-10-26T09:12:11.361-07:002009-10-26T09:12:11.361-07:00That first book looks really good and I might have...That first book looks really good and I might have to check it out from the library-opening deer season is coming up! Also, "Many Thousands Gone: The First Two Centuries of Slavery in North America," by Ira Berlin, also for class. And two books by Omer Bartov, also for class, and a bunch of crap on German cinema since reunification, and god knows what else I should be reading. Occasionally, I sneak a short story from "East, West" by Salman Rushdie.Baloohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15283328719713141490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1170116880352300881.post-10386851357511149532009-10-26T08:56:51.502-07:002009-10-26T08:56:51.502-07:00I agree! Boo!

Right now I am reading some random romance book from the library. I usually end up with 5 or 6 of them because there are so freaking many and I can just go to that section and grab a handful :-P I have definitely added the first book to my library list though!Samanthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00796524100843094259noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1170116880352300881.post-55268626297489298622009-10-26T08:39:05.535-07:002009-10-26T08:39:05.535-07:00I am putting the first book on my list of reads.

I have read the majority of Jodi Picoult's books and think I'm done for a while. They are way too predictable.

I am reading Sleeping Arrangements by Madeleine Wickham. It's an easy read. Nothing too deep. I've been having issues getting into books lately, so I'm hoping this light read will help me get back into reading again.Beth Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09340232344394376759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1170116880352300881.post-20690959601918428172009-10-26T08:38:23.724-07:002009-10-26T08:38:23.724-07:00I love Jodi Picoult, but like you was on a little ...I love Jodi Picoult, but like you was on a little break. I just ordered Handle with Care, and another one of her books (I can't remember which one) from Amazon. I'm excited to read them :)Justinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04962498735246318189noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1170116880352300881.post-61274517992002570602009-10-26T08:33:09.370-07:002009-10-26T08:33:09.370-07:00I read some light and fluffy chick lit book this w...I read some light and fluffy chick lit book this weekend - and can't even remember the name! I have issues with Jodi Picoult, too. Predictable endings, yes. She does the same thing in every book. But she also leaves so many loose ends, ones that could have made her storyline much more interesting if she'd touched on them later.Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04793480432068543767noreply@blogger.com
