When your alarm clock goes off in the morning, do you get up right away, or hit snooze multiple times?
I get up right away, whereas Justin could hit snooze for hours. Well actually, he could sleep through his alarm for hours. Seriously, I am always waking him up to turn off his stupid alarm clock. He doesn't even hear it, but the second it goes off (at 5:30 am), I am WIDE awake!

I have gotten in the bad, bad habit of hitting snooze! I try and trick myself and set my alarm for earlier but I still sleep in until the very last minute -- and sometimes even past that, then have to rush around to get ready in the morning!
ReplyDeleteI usually get up right away when I hear mine. If I hit snooze I know I won't get up on time. I always hear my husband's too since he gets up 45 minutes before me. I hear it before him and tell him to turn it off so it doesn't wake our baby!
ReplyDeleteARGHHHHH! My husband's starts going off at 3:35 A.M. I can usually fall asleep in between & when I'm super tired sleep through. But he's left it on for HOURS!!!!! I'm a get up as soon as it goes off person, but I do have the option of getting up whenenver I want (or when the kids wake up, whichever is first).
ReplyDeleteI HAVE to get up at the first alarm otherwise I would keep sleeping through multiple snoozes & be very late to work :) Luckily John gets up when I do so I don't have to listen to alarms other than my own.
ReplyDeleteI hit the snooze many, many times. It's quite sad but I just can't stop!! :(
ReplyDeletesnooze!
ReplyDeleteI get up at the first sound of anything - even if it is just on the vibrate setting. Very obnoxious. Luckily, Tony is quick to get up too. Neither of us are big snoozers, if we want to sleep in longer or have the chance to sleep in, we just move the time back.
ReplyDeleteSerial snoozer right here. Can't help it. I HATE MORNINGS!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, when the alarm goes off I'm up...however, I don't mind snoozing while laying in bed for a few minutes; however, I never fall back asleep. Matt drives me insane!!! If it's the weekend and he works, he'll say set the alarm for something ridiculous like 4am. Really? Are you going to get up at 4am? No, he snoozes like 20 times but then I can't fall back asleep because then I'm worried HE'LL oversleep! Good question!
ReplyDeleteSerial snoozer too! I hate getting up in the mornings although I prefer being to work early. I set my alarm to go off early to account for how many times I'm likely to hit snooze. Can't break the habit.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was working, I would hit snooze about three times. My husband hits snooze also. Now, it just depends on how bad my alarm clock is crying! : )
ReplyDeleteI actually set my alarm clock 5 minutes early so that when it goes off I can lay there for about 5 minutes & watch the local news before I get up. If I just jump up out of bed, I'll end up dizzy & on the floor from getting up too fast!
ReplyDeleteWell, I can't exactly hit snooze anymore because my alarm clock is a 5 month old baby! He isn't exactly patient when he wants to get up in the morning ;)
ReplyDeleteBack when I did have to wake up to an alarm clock I'd hit snooze a hundred times or I'd just sleep right through the loud beeping and my poor husband would have to wake me up to hit the snooze button. I enjoy my sleep! I would spend every last second in bed that I could. I was always late to work (thank goodness no one really cared) and would often get up about 5 minutes before I needed to be out the door.
I must say, I much prefer waking to the sounds of a baby instead of the *beep*beep*beep* of the alarm clock!
Wow, what an appropriate topic for my morning! Brandon NEVER shuts his alarm off. Never. It's like he is the only one in this whole house and it drives me freakin' nuts. I have threatened to sleep with a baseball bat so in the morning I can shut it off for him, and if he ends up being in the way? It's not my fault! Seriously, I hate it but he seems to not care.
ReplyDeleteI used to always get up right away, but I'd say within the past year, while I do the same most days, there are some I hit snooze just once...just for those extra ten minutes.
ReplyDeleteI used to NEVER hit the snooze button. Now I'll hit it for at least half an hour. (Why not just set it for half an hour later and get all that uninterrupted sleep??) I specifically bought an alarm clock because it doesn't have a snooze button. But now I set that AND my cell phone which does snooze. LOL
ReplyDeleteI used to have to the loudest alarm ever to wake me up, but switched to a much quieter one when I started waking up earlier than John. I have always snoozed though. John has gotten into the habit of doing it as well and he's actually much worse than I ever was. He now gets up earlier than I do and I have learned to sleep through it all. In the past I would have been up no matter what.
ReplyDeleteI'm awake at the first alarm. Claire-Marie used to love hitting snooze for an hour and we used to fight about it because, as I mentioned, I was awake from minute one and then would lie awake waiting for the next alarm ten minutes later. For, as I said, an hour at times. Nice to be single sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI'm a snoozer, my husband is not. I can't jump out of bed, if I don't take my time letting my body wake up, I end up feeling dizzy and sick to my stomach for a couple hours minimum while my body wakes up. Thankfully my husband understands and lets me sleep later and wakes me up slowly!
ReplyDeleteI'm late on this, but I hit snooze literally about 7 times before I actually get out of bed. I could stay there all day hitting the snooze every 9 minutes. the crazy thing is that even though I'm only sleeping for a few more minutes, it feels like hours!
