Do you guys have any can't-miss TV shows? What are they?
Justin and I have two shows that we REALLY enjoy watching together--Bones, and The Closer. Seriously, I think we've watched every episode ever made of both shows. And our cat is even named Bones...after the show. I love hanging out on the couch watching these together and laughing. I'm really sad that the next season of The Closer will be the last. Boo!
I used to be equally obsessed with Top Chef, but we cut down our cable package and no-longer get Bravo. Between Hulu and my parent's house, I'm usually able to catch up on Top Chef, albeit a little late.
Those are the faves--we usually also DVR Fringe, Glee, The Daily Show, and Phineas & Ferb (for Justin) and watch during lazy mornings or evenings at home.
What about you guys? Are you reality junkies? Soap opera lovers? Grey's Anatomy fans?

We don't watch too much TV, but we both LOVE Bones too!! Love, love, love!! That's actually the only "live" show we watch... everything else we watch it through netflicks on the wii.
ReplyDeletethe one show that dh and i both absolutely love is 'modern family' - its freakin' hilarious!!
ReplyDeleteIt's far too easy to turn the TV on, put the little guy in his swing, and catch up on blogs. I never watched TV until I became a SAHM. Now? I have a schedule. The Early Show, Dr. Oz, Wendy Williams, The View, then all the judge shows, Dr. Phil, Oprah...
ReplyDeleteIt's bad.
But I could do without all of those. They've just become part of my routine, really. Shows I love and cannot miss? Modern Family, The Biggest Loser, The Bachelor/Bachelorette, Bethenny Ever After, and occasionally some of the Real Housewives shows. We just caught up on Grey's Anatomy, so, we're waiting for season 7 to be finished so we can watch it in its entirety, then watch season 8 on TV when it's okay.
Not when it's okay...when it's on. :)
ReplyDeleteWe hardly watch tv, except for: Bones, The Closer, The Mentalist (SIMON BAKER!!), and Burn Notice. Anything else is total take it or leave it.
ReplyDeleteJust two that we watch weekly - Criminal Minds and Glee. I like that time we spend together twice a week, focused on the same thing for more than 10 minutes.
ReplyDeleteI'll admit it, we watch a lot of TV, but its time we enjoy together so I try not to worry about it. We watch Hawaii 5-0, Grey's Anatomy, NCIS Los Angelos and Fringe together and I really feel like we equally enjoy these shows. I also DVR Brothers & Sisters, Private Practice and The Good Wife for when Lucas is in the workshop and I've got some free time. So good!
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched something regularly as it showed on TV since Battlestar Galactica, which wrapped up back in 2009. Mostly I watch shows on DVD. Currently working through Chuck and Mad Men, which are about as different as shows can be. Love HBO. When the Game of Thrones show comes out I'll be watching that. Uh, legally. I promise.
ReplyDeleteWhen I do watch the TV, usually I just zone out to Food Network. Often with chemical assistance. Iron Chef, Good Eats and Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives are all good choices for said chemical-assisted viewing.
Good Eats, I should say, I happily watch sober as well.
ReplyDeleteArmy Wives. Teen Mom (Trashy, I know, so shoot me)... They are the only ones I watch on a regular basis :)
ReplyDeleteTogether we enjoy Mad Men [currently catching up on the DVD's], Ghost Adventures, House Hunters and pretty much any home improvement show on HGTV. Alone, I indulge in The Bachelor/ette...super trashy but I've been addicted for years. It's my one weakness.

ReplyDeleteIt's sad, but Teen Mom. I watch it every week. I find that, more often than not, I get irritated by it. But I love it. Too much.
ReplyDeleteAnd I LOVE Bones, but I'm never current on it. I'm up through most of season 5, I just work weird shifts and can never quite catch up.
For us it's Bones, Glee, Mad Men, How I Met Your Mother, White Collar, Covert Affairs, the original NCIS and lots of the shows on HGTV and Food Network with hockey, baseball and football thrown in there.
ReplyDeleteHilariously, almost none of these shows are watched live. The only shows we'll watch on tv are NCIS, white collar, covert affairs, sports and home stuff. Everything else we own the seasons or it comes from the library. We don't want to pay for DVR and we hate commercials...
I love Glee, but that's really the only show I catch regularly. I like all the crime shows, so if I'm home I watch those. My favorites are Bones and Law and Order SVU. We don't have cable, so that limits what we watch. If we had cable, I love all the real estate shows on HGTV.
ReplyDeleteWe watch American Pickers, Storage Wars, American Idol and Biggest Loser together. We usually DVR all of them, but we regularly watch them together.
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE Parenthood.
ReplyDeleteGrey's Anatomy, Hubs likes The Office, American Idol, and The Bachelor.
Lately we just started watching Justified. It is SO good! We both really like it.
We both love watching Til Debt Do Us Part, Teen Mom/16 & Pregnant, and Intervention.
ReplyDeleteI have recently become obsessed with Law & Order: SVU. I also enjoy watching Rules of Engagement, Community, and Desperate Housewives.
We watch Glee, The Office, Community, Top Chef, American Idol, The Bachelor/ette, Oprah, her new shows on OWN...too many but we love them!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a full episode of Grey's. I'd probably like it.
ReplyDeleteLars and I watch Big Bang Theory and Criminal Minds together. Love them both. I have seen a few Bones episodes and it's definitely up my alley too!
And we watch a lot of soccer. A LOT.
I find it hilarious that Justin watches Phineas and Ferb. That show is so weird, LOL.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have cable so I watch everything on Hulu. I always watch Glee and Parenthood and usually catch up on Desperate Housewives and Modern Family.
We love those two shoes as well. We also like Psych.
ReplyDeleteWe like American Pickers, Pawn Stars, Burn Notice, Survivor, undercover millionaire, Who do you think you are?, Biggest Loser, and Glee. But we are glad to turn it off once spring & summer hits, to go out and enjoy the outdoors....
