Today's BQOTD: How often do you eat sweets/dessert of any kind--ice cream, cookies, brownies, candy, etc?
Do you eat something sweet every day? A couple of times a week? Through the day or only after dinner? Only when you have extra calories left at the end of the day? Whenever you really want it? Do you restrict how often you eat sweets, or just go with the flow?
Oh, and PS--I may be the last person in the world, but I joined Twitter! You can find me {here}. Do you do the whole Twitter thing? I'd love to know!

It kind of depends on the day. But, I'd say it's almost every day, usually in the evenings.
ReplyDeleteUsually every other day, but just a little. Sweets are so yummy, but incredibly calorie-filled. Things that don't have calories: birthday cake, wedding cake, or popsicles on super hot days.
ReplyDeleteIf we have it, I eat dessert every day. A cookie or whatever. What is in that picture? I want it!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to curb my sweets in take, but lately it's been everyday. And the scale's showing it...
ReplyDeleteI'm sort of in limbo when it comes to sweets. I used to be someone who needed something sweet every couple of days. I've been reading so much on sugar though and beginning to see how it totally affects my mood and energy levels so I'm giving it a second thought before indulging. OH, don't get me wrong...I'm still consuming ice cream and gummy worms, but now I'm thinking about the consequences first and making sure they are worth it :)
ReplyDeleteI'd like to eventually be a sugar free family. I'm hoping that if we rid ourselves of it, we'll no longer crave it.
And with that all said, I want the recipe to whatever that yummy goodness is in that photo :)
ReplyDeletePretty much every day...I have a slight sugar addiction. :-/
ReplyDeleteAnd to add to what Andrea said - I know how bad sugar is for our bodies and I would love to eliminate it from our house, which I know would basically eliminate my cravings for it, but man oh man...that would take some willpower I'm not sure I possess.
ReplyDeleteSweet are something that I rarely crave... my addiction is salty snacks - mainly potato chips. I could eat them all day long and have :)
ReplyDeleteI eat something sweet every day, even if it is just a couple of chocolate chips.
ReplyDeleteI eat it any time it's in front of me. Which may or may not be the reason I look the way I do, haha!
ReplyDeleteBut in all seriousness, I can't keep sweets around our house or I will eat them constantly.
I eat frozen yogurt every night. I'm addicted. Luckily the Kemp's chocolate frozen fat free yogurt isn't too terrible for you. And I load it up with raspberries. Mmmm so good.
ReplyDeleteI'm with a little of other posters, I know I need to cut down on the sugar intake a bit, but, ummm... I love it soooo much.
Oh, and I haven't joined twitter. I keep toying with the idea, but that would be one more crazy thing to keep up with on the internet!
We only have them a few times a month at home. I love it when the playgroup host mom chooses to serve sweets.
ReplyDeleteIf it's not in the house, I don't eat/need it. If it's here, every night after dinner. When I'm counting calories (which I haven't been doing because I've been so dang sick lately!) I usually save enough calories for a skinny cow ice cream at the end of the day. I agree with a PP^ though, birthday cake and wedding cake have no calories ;)
ReplyDeletethe cool kids do twitter ;) Its my life line. Just added you!
ReplyDeleteI was going to write this: I crave dessert all the time. It's my favorite meal and one of my most favorite activities. Lars and I often eat it together. A LOT. Sometimes in bed even. Dessert is sooooo good!! Better than dinner even! But decided to go with: Seriously, you're killing me with this post!! :D
ReplyDeleteI twitter.I'll follow you! And also dessert? every single day. Although, sometimes dessert is fruit with a little whipped topping, or a 90 cal brownie, or frozen grapes, or a bowl of frozen yogurt. I have cookies freshly baked once a week for C and friends but I rarely touch those. I do weight watchers and always leave enough points to have a little something at the end of the day.
ReplyDeleteYay for Twitter! I'll have to follow you!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big sweets person at all. For someone that bakes as much as I do it's weird. I may crave something and make it, but by the time I'm done I'm over it. I'll have the occasional piece of chocolate or cookie, but it's maybe once a week or so? John on the other hand grew up with dessert after every meal and so eats something sweet (usually ice cream) every night.
