Thursday Thoughts

{one}
Can I ask a favor of y'all? There are so many of you who have left comments over the past couple of weeks that I've wanted to respond to, but many of you haven't had email addresses associated with your accounts, and it just makes it much harder to get back to you! It's really easy to add an email to your account--in blogger, from your dashboard click on "edit profile", and then add an email address to your profile! With so many free options for email, you could even create a separate email just for your blog :)

{two}
I am so happy about the Top Chef finale. I don't want to spoil it in case there's anybody who hasn't watched it yet, but I really thought the other person was going to win and it was making me nervous! I'm glad the one I was rooting for pulled it through!

{three}
Thank you guys for the thoughts and prayers about my dad in the hospital, he went home last week, and then had been back in again since Monday of this week, but got to go home yesterday! Hopefully he's recovering well and can say out of that place!

{four}
I'm thinking about re-instating "Photography Fridays" on the blog, which I haven't done in awhile, but in the past has included the 12 Weeks to Better Photography course. That particular course isn't available any more, but I think there are others we could do, or that I could come up with something. I'm just jonesing for more photography and need an excuse! What I'd like to know is if you're interested in participating, what sort of tutorials would YOU like to see--very basic, beginner, more advanced, etc?

Lizzy had been doing pretty great with potty training. And then all of a sudden, I'd tell her that it was time to sit on the toilet and she'd start to scream, "NOOOOOOOO!!!!! I too BIG!" (I think she actually means she's too little). I've been trying not to push it because I know she'll do it when she's ready and blah blah blah. But seriously, I'M READY.

{six}
I have Mom's Group this morning, and I *really* should shower, but I just don't want to. Most people at this particular Mom's Group usually come pretty dressed up, but I think that I may end up going in a sweatshirt and yoga pants today. Oh well. I'm feeling lazy. Plus, if I go out dressed ready to work out, I may actually be more likely to do Jillian's Yoga Meltdown later today like I'm supposed to, you
know?

  2. I LOVE Top Chef, but we don't have cable, and since the whole season isn't on Hulu, I don't watch it anymore. :(

    So glad you're dad is back home, I hope he stays home! :)

    I would LOVE some Photography Friday posts... I'm itching to get my camera out and learn more about it, but I feel like I need some guidance, so I would totally (hopefully!) participate! :) Also, I can't wait for it to be spring so I can GET OUTSIDE and take pictures, or at least have more hours of natural light during the day!

  3. That's hilarious about the potty training :) Hope that rough patch smoothes over soon!

    And I vote yes to photography posts!

  4. Yes yes yes for photography Fridays! I would love some DSLR introductory posts (not rule-of-thirds type of stuff, like "changing your ISO" or "white balancing" and things like that).

    Yay yay yay!

  5. Eme does the exact thing with the potty ;( She at FIRST says yes to getting on the potty but when she goes on it, within seconds she goes "I GET DOWN! ALL DONE! ALL DONE! NOOO"...and I am SO afraid of scaring her. So I don't force it. Not sure if I'm making it better or worse.

  7. I was very happy with the Top Chef results last night too :).

    Ryann has started boycotting the potty as well. I really should have jumped on board when she was more interested a few months ago. Now she acts like it is some traumatizing event or something. Suck. :(

  8. I'll have you know that I created a Google account just for your website. That's how much I love your blog and want to hear from you. =)

    I remember potty training. Thankfully, that part of my life is over. But, I do remember that it is normal for kids to regress. All 4 of mine did. As long as I didn't make a big deal out of it, neither did they, and things would usually go back to normal within a few days. Hang in there!

    I would also love some photography posts. As an aspiring, amateur photographer, I'm always looking for ways to improve myself and gain any nuggets of wisdom, I can.

    I'm all talked out, now. =) Have a beautiful day!

  9. Okay. NOW you can find me. I'm not very tech savvy, in case you hadn't noticed. ;)

  10. Count me in on the interest in photography posts as well. I really need to do better about getting out my actual camera instead of constantly relying on my iPhone. :(

    So glad your Dad is home... and hang in there with the potty training! She's so smart, I'm fully confident one day it will just click with her!

  11. Oh potty training is such a thorn in my side right now. Eva hates it unless she DOESN'T have to go. Then she will sit there all day. I am not glad you are having the same problem - comforted - but not glad.

    I go to my Bible study and mom's group dressed to "work-out" a lot. Sometimes workout even.

  14. Girl! I totally agree about the whole e-mail/comment thing. Nothing bums me out more than when I can't respond to an e-mail comment!!

    Love the blog - and thank you for reminding me about Top Chef. I missed this season, but it'll give me a good catch-up show over the next couple months!

    Keep Shining,
    Meghan
