Face Wash.
What do y'all use as your normal face wash routine? In college, I used Proactiv, and that worked fairly well...but I just can't afford to spend that much money. I've been trying Acne Free...or I had, but it made my face SO DRY that it feels like it's on fire...so I've just been trying to wash with a mild cleanser and moisturize. We'll see how it works.
Anyway, in general I always feel so out of the loop with my skincare routine. I read about what the routine is supposed to look like in magazines, and quite frankly, I'm lucky if I remember to take of my makeup and wash my face at night--don't let my current moisturizing fool you...it wouldn't typically be in my frame of reference AT ALL.
So again, what do y'all use for your normal "routine"?

I use Pro-Active in the shower in the morning and then use Cetaphil at night to wash away makeup.
ReplyDeleteI use a Mary Kay facial cleanser and moisturizer - but I've been blessed with good skin so don't have to worry about more intense cleansers. And by blessed I mean I was on Acutane at 16 and haven't had a problem for 9 years - but modern medicine is kind of like a blessing, right? :)
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not, I use Leaver 2000 in the morning and Clinique liquid soap at night to wash away make-up. I have fairly good skin, but did go to the dermatologist when I was younger and he said the best thing for your face is Leaver 2000 (probably because I didn't have very bad blemishes) Good luck!! I hate spending ridiculous amounts of money on that kind of stuff.
ReplyDeleteI'm currently looking for a good face wash and moisturizer. I use Bare Minerals make up so I switched to their face wash and moisturizer and didn't like it. I'm currenlty using Mary Kay face wash because I had some left over and the Bare Minerals moisturizer because I don't have any other. For awhile I used Arbonne products and liked them, but hated spending the big bucks on them.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
I use an Avon cleanser and moisturizer, but I need to get better at sticking to it. It's hard, but if we get used to it now, we'll reap the rewards later. :) Avon has some good, inexpensive stuff, if you want to check it out shoot me an email. :) mrs.shepard2005@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI'm still a teenager. I used Oxy 10% benzoyl peroxide face wash and lotion.
ReplyDeleteI love Cetaphil. Or if you want to spend lots of cash, Fresh's Soy Facial Cleanser. Awesome stuff that won't over dry.
ReplyDeleteJust by washing your face you are doing better than me. = )
ReplyDeleteAvon has a slightly cheaper 3-step system that I love so far: http://shop.avon.com/shop/product.aspx?pf_id=35884&from=search&find_spec=clearskin&camp=200909&dir_delivery=1&rep_delivery=1
ReplyDeleteLately, I just use the scrub, though, because the pads and lotion are too drying for my skin. The scrub is a favorite, though. And I've been through my share of skincare. :)
