Okay, I'm curious....if you're standing at the foot of your bed, looking toward the headboard, which side of the bed do you sleep on? Have you ever changed sides?
Personally, I sleep on the right hand side of the bed. I don't remember Justin and I having a conversation about which side of the bed we sleep on...it just happened that way.
Right hand side too. I sleep in the middle when he's not there (night shift).
ReplyDeleteI sleep on the left side. At first I was going to say that I've always slept on the side farthest from the door, but that's not the case. In our old house, I slept on the right side and it was closest to the door. I am really not sure why I sleep on the left side now. Maybe because it's closer to our bathroom??
ReplyDeleteRight side, all the way. I have always slept there for as long as I can remember.
ReplyDeleteI've slept on the right side for 5 years, and for some reason really want to switch but the hubby won't let me.
ReplyDeleteI sleep on the left side. Like you, I don't think we ever had a discussion about it, it just happened.
ReplyDeleteHaha, this is too funny. As odd as it sounds, no matter where we are, at home, my parents, his parents, a hotel..... I always sleep on the left side and he on the right.... It just happens to workout that way somehow....
ReplyDeleteI sleep on the right hand side of the bed - even when he's not home. We've switched before but neither of us slept well.
ReplyDeleteI sleep on whichever side is furthest from the door (per Mr. Lukie's request). At home, that happens to be the left side.
ReplyDeletelol... I always sleep on the right side. It started that way because the way our old room was set up, the right side was closest to the alarm and I got up first. Now, it's a habit. We ALWAYS sleep like that, and I can't fall asleep until I get in my "spot".
ReplyDeleteI sleep on the left side. Hubby and I are thinking of switching though, since I need to start laying on my left side. I don't like other people breathing on or at my face when I'm sleeping, so sleeping on my left now means I face the inside of the bed, where Hubby is more likely to breathe on me. I know, its weird.
ReplyDeleteLeft side...and my husband will not switch! he's weird like that. In fact, I feel like his side of the bed does feel a little....odd...
ReplyDeleteI sleep on the left, due to Tony having shoulder surgery. Gus arm goes numb if he sleeps on his side facing me for too long!
ReplyDeleteI sleep on the left side. Whenever I'm with my husband I always stand or sit at his right side. I don't know why either. So, it was only natural I sleep on his right side too (when looking at the bed, it's on the left.)It's just where gravity pulls me I guess.
ReplyDeleteI sleep on the left, but I'm not attached to it. I can switch it up at a moment's notice and still be asleep in under 3 minutes.
ReplyDeleteI always slept on the right hand side, until we got married. Then I started sleeping on the left (we actually moved in together). Who knows why I switched!
ReplyDeleteI sleep on the left. I always slept on the right, but when we started living together, John took the right since it was closer to the plug for the fan. He sweats way more than I do.
ReplyDeleteNow, we could put the fan wherever we wanted, but the sides just stuck.
I sleep on the right! We never switch or I feel off! =)
ReplyDeleteThis is bizarre, because I sleep on different sides depending upon which bed it is. In the bed that's My Bed, as in the bed that lives in my apartment, I sleep on the left side. In the bed at my parents' house, which currently resides in my former room but was only purchased after I moved out, I sleep on the right side. In the bed at my aunts' house when I was living with them, I sleep on the left side. In hotels, it depends.
ReplyDeleteThere doesn't seem to be a particular method to the madness. But I do not tolerate sleeping on the wrong side when I have a, ahem, sleeping partner. Shit don't fly.
As long as I'm on the subject, I have sides that I prefer people to be on. It's different for everyone, and often for situations, and I'm much more forgiving than when it comes to sleeping sides, but yeah, that's there, too.
I may need more meds.
Clint sleeps on the right during the week because he gets up before me and has to turn off the alarm clock. On the weekends, we switch sides and look so forward to it! lol...I think because we don't have a routine then.
ReplyDeleteleft side. i don't know how i happened...but i am so used to it by now, i cannot sleep on the right side if my husband is in the bed! if my husband is not in the bed i can sleep wherever i please. ;c)
ReplyDeleteI sleep on the left hand side of the bed, it just started that way (and I think it was because I'm the only one who hears the alarm), then halfway through he asked if we could switch and I pouted and he let it stay the same but whenever we go anywhere (hotels, my parents, etc...) then HE usually sleeps on the left hand side.
ReplyDeletei sleep on the left - but because it's the furthest from the door. i'm totally weird about that - i always have to sleep on whichever side is not near the door
ReplyDeleteI sleep on the right don't know how it happened. In hotels though it depends. I usually sleep farthest away from the AC.
ReplyDeleteLeft side for me! It started because we were sleeping in a small bed and we pushed it up against a wall and I got the side against the wall so that I didn't fall out of bed and so he could get up or if need be "protect me". It was also closest to the fan for him. Since then, we just have stuck to our sides and I'm sure it will always be like that because we develop a routine and joyously celebrate our "ruts". But when he's gone...I sleep diaganol across the middle. :)
ReplyDeleteWe switched around when we were first married- but now I have settled in the right side too. But I think I would switch if our bedroom changed so that Chris is always closet to the door. I just feel safer that way.
