The last book I read was Girl in Translation. I enjoyed it. Not as much as I've enjoyed other books that are similar in genre, but it was good and I would recommend it.
The last book I read was Rescue and I don't think I liked it quite as much as your did. I'm now splitting my time between 3 books (crazy, I know)... Ree Drummond's "Black Heels and Tractor Wheels", the second in the Outlander series and "Left Neglected" by Lisa Genova. They are all awesome books, just for different reasons.
The last book I read was "The Case For Faith" by Lee Strobel. It was awesome and I'd definitely recommend it. Currently, I'm reading "The Queen's Fool" by Philippa Gregory. It's historical fiction, which is a big love of mine!
I'm reading..and almost finished with (like literally 15 pages away) "Anna Karenina" by Tolstoy. I picked it up because it's on the top 100 books you should read before you die.... I really can't decide if I like it or completely despize it....Some characters I don't mind. Some I'm not too fond of.
@Ashley Sisk, I totally just got Heaven is For Real on audio book! Can't wait.
The last book I read was Snoop: What Your Stuff Says About You, about a psychologist who can tell lots of things about you by looking at your room, or car. Cool pop psychology but is nonfiction, which you don't seem to read lots of. ;)
the last book I read was The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner... kind of a last minute thought to the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer. much like the Twilight series, it's not very well written, but the story was intriguing enough. I'd recommend it for YA readers.
I haven't read any books (that weren't parenting books) since my early college days! I've really wanted to pick up a book to start a new hobby- I've been hearing that Tina Fey's book "Bossypants" is really funny.
I finished A Farewell to Arms by Hemingway about 2 weeks ago. I enjoyed it and would recommend it, especially because it is a classic in American Literature. I am just about to finish the manuscript for the murder mystery novel that my Father-In-Law wrote! He's trying to get it published :) It's really good!!
I'm currently reading Voyager (Book 3 in the Outlander series), would definitely recommend.
Before this, the last book I finished was Life of Pi. Excellent read, I would definitely recommend it! It was the first book for a new book club I'm in and it made for a wonderful discussion.
The last book I read was Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn. I finished this book last month. This was an emotionally difficult but very important read. I liked it in the sense that I gained global awareness, not because it made me feel warm and fuzzy. This book is highly recommended.
Last book I read was The Messenger, by Lois Lowry. It's the third in the semi-series of The Giver and Gathering Blue. I would recommend it. It's a quick read and keeps you interested, albeit not Lowry's best work in my opinion.
The last book I read was Robopocalypse by... some guy. It's not like there're many books called "Robopocalypse," so it's not like it matters that much. Anyway, I did not like it and would not recommend it. Was crap. Cliched and had a framing narrative that didn't make sense at all when you thought about it. The book it blatantly ripped off, Max Brooks's World War Z, would be a much better choice.

ReplyDeleteI just read all five of the Dean Koontz Frankenstein books. I read them in seven days, so yeah, I'd recommend. But they're not for everyone.
