There's this fun little website where you can answer a bunch of random questions, and it generates what's supposed to be your "birth story." I've been reading about it for months, so I thought I'd give it a try. I am not pleased:
The day you deliver, outside will be fair. Your baby will arrive in the middle of the night. After a labor lasting approximately 20 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 13 pounds, 15 ounces, and will be 18-1/2 inches long. This child will have light amber eyes and a little patch of blonde hair.
Now, while having a boy despite the doctor believing it was a girl would not surprise or upset me (either a boy or a girl is totally fine by me), the idea of a 13 pound, 15 ounce baby is NOT OKAY!!!
If Madame Zaritska and I were friends on Facebook, I totally would have de-friended and blocked her for this!

There is almost assuredly someone who believes this bot with absolute certainty.
ReplyDeletelol she told me my baby would be 15 pound with black eyes....i thought i was going to birth something scary :)
ReplyDeleteThirteen pound baby AND 20 hours of labor...no thank you Madame Zaritska!
ReplyDeleteLOL. I did it too and while my labor will only be 13 hours long, the baby is supposed to be 12 pounds. But then she also said my baby will have dark brown eyes, which is not possible because Chad and I have blue eyes, so I decided to ignore her. ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL! That is too funny...and for your sake, I pray that Madame Zaritska is totally wrong ;)
ReplyDelete13 pounds, and only 18 1/2 inches? HOLY chubby butter ball!! That's crazy!
ReplyDeleteNo way, I'm not going to that site. That's all I need is to hear our baby will be larger than 10 lbs! 10 lbs is my max before I beg the doctor to induce me. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is SO not ok! :) For your sake, I pray she is totally and completely wrong!
ReplyDeleteTell Madame to take a hike! No one should have to push out an almost 14 baby. Sweet heavens! I'd hit my computer!
