What do you all think? It's totally not my style. I'd love to paint it and give it all new hardware, but DH looooooooovvvvvvvvveeeees it just the way it is. Maybe I'll give him the stupid hutch in exchange for my living room arrangement.
I think you could make the hutch work - I like some older pieces mixed in with newer things to make a house look lived in, ya know? So exciting about the house - I've been out of town and my google reader is so out of date I missed that your offer was accepted. YAY!
I am not a big fan of the hutch either. But then again, I hate bed skirts so I guess I don't have elegant taste anyway. :)
But it looks like it will be useful at least. And let's be honest, there will be a lot of things that you don't think are just right about the place for a long time. Patience is going to be key.
Ooh I love it! That wood is absolutely gorgeous . . . I wonder what could be changed with the glass panes and totally agree on the change of hardware, but would probably die a sad death if you were to paint it!
Thanks for visiting La Buena Vida and taking the time to leave a comment--I love hearing from you!
